This compares those two exact UK models. Their names do not establish an
equivalent US, Canadian or Australian appliance, plug or warranty. The
comparison is based on published construction and instructions, not measured
results.

Decision
Air Style 1000, 2136U
Flawless Volume, 2764U
Practical consequence
Format
Interchangeable styling attachments.
One brush head; no attachment swapping described.
Switch heads for distinct tasks, or keep one brush-shaped process.
Brush
50 mm volumising brush; a separate paddle brush is included.
38 mm brush head.
The smaller named barrel may be easier to position on a shorter section,
but no styling result is guaranteed.
Other parts
Drying nozzle, conical curling attachment and heat glove are documented
in the manual.
No interchangeable attachment process is described in the 2764U manual.
The 2136U asks you to store and select more parts.
Controls
Low and high heat plus cool; attachments click onto the handle.
Low and high heat plus cool; the manual describes turning the whole
styler by hand.
Read the exact instructions before changing heads or turning the brush.
Published power
1,000 W on the UK product listing.
500 W on the UK product listing.
Wattage alone cannot establish airflow or drying time.
UK guarantee
Three years for UK consumer use in the 2136U manual.
Three years for UK consumer use in the 2764U manual.
Neither statement establishes coverage outside the UK.
Which handling pattern fits?
The 2136U manual describes a drying nozzle to remove excess moisture before
styling, then different attachments for lift, smoothing or a curl. This suits
someone willing to change the head to change the job. The conical attachment
requires the supplied heat glove as instructed; it is a different handling
step from brushing through a section. Confirm the full current box contents on
the seller listing, because bundles can change.
The 2764U manual describes placing its brush under a section, lifting near the
roots, moving along the section and turning the styler slightly at the ends.
That format keeps the operation centered on one brush. The manual does not
describe a powered rotation control, so do not choose it on that assumption.
Format sketch: one handle, different decisions
2136U: handle → select nozzle, 50 mm brush, paddle brush or conical
attachment → follow that attachment's method.
2764U: fixed 38 mm brush routine → position the section → turn the styler
slightly at the ends as the manual describes.
This is a schematic workflow, not a scale drawing or performance test.
Preparation and care differ in useful ways
Both manuals tell the user to remove excess moisture and section the hair
before styling. The 2136U instructions specify starting at about 80% dry and
describe the attachment release buttons. The 2764U instructions also describe
rough drying longer or thicker hair before brush styling. These are model
instructions, not a universal starting-moisture rule for all hot-air brushes.
For either model, switch off, unplug and let the appliance cool before
cleaning. The 2136U manual describes clearing debris from the rear filter with
a soft brush. The 2764U manual describes twisting off its rear filter before
brushing debris away and replacing it until it clicks. Do not transfer one
filter procedure to the other model. Neither UK listing alone proves the exact
rated voltage or suitability for another country's mains supply; check the
appliance rating plate and manual before travel.
Before you replace a working tool
Is there a documented reason to change?
Tick each statement only when the article or exact product source supports it.
Your answers stay in this page session and are not used to build a personal profile.
No replacement case yet
Start with the task your current tool cannot perform. If there is no missing task, keep the tool you have.
This checklist organises your decision. It does not test products or predict results.
When to choose neither
If you already have a dryer and round brush that give you the control you
want, neither appliance is a necessary upgrade. For other brush formats,
compare the options in the
hot-air brush selection guide. If the question is barrel handling, use the
barrel-size guide. The
dryer-and-round-brush comparison
covers the separate-tool alternative.
